About the Artist

Shekoofeh Manzoor Sussman, the founder of Blossom Unlimited, is a multi-media artist specializing in watercolor, acrylic, fused glass, jewelry, and more.

Shekoofeh's story begins in Iran, where she was born and eventually lived through the first six months of the Iranian Revolution of 1979. In July of 1979, she resettled in the United States, and has been unable to return to her home country since.

Over the past 40+ years, Shekoofeh built a life for herself and her family in America. During this time, multi-media art remained a consistent creative and emotional outlet for her.

When her husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, her artwork became an even more important respite for her as she coped with the stress of caregiving. Although her art slowed down in the years immediately surrounding her husband's passing in 2016, she has expanded her repertoire in the years since.

Shekoofeh's life experiences shape all of her art. Her "Emotional Expressions" collection captures the intense emotion associated with her life as a widow. Her "Nature" collection celebrates the beauty of the world around that gives her reasons to move forward. Her "Judaica" collection highlights reasons to be hopeful and is a reminder of her faith throughout life.

We hope that you're able to find meaning in Shekoofeh's artwork and story. Don't hesitate to get in touch to connect or collaborate on any commissioned work.
